Colouring Books (New)

Why would you consider a colouring book as a resource in child development or in adult self care?
Special Needs Resources have an array of colouring books to meet all needs.

The reason we stock them is because

• They offer lots of opportunity to develop fine motor skills in using pencils, crayons, markers or other creative accessories such as glitter, paper, glue and paints.
• They are an opportunity to learn about colours and colour combinations.
• They encourage the use of imagination in colouring items different colours and coming up with imaginative ideas to improve the picture.
• It offers a great interactive opportunity with others. What can you see in the picture? What are they doing? Have you seen one before?.Where would you see these? Why have you chosen to colour them that colour? What are their names? What are they like? And so on.
• Adult colouring books can be calming and anxiety reducing during periods of stress.
